A Tribute to Martyrs
If I Die In The War Zone
Pack My Body And Send Me Home
Pin The Medals On My Chest
Tell My Mother I Did My BestTell Those Pretty Girls Not To Cry
Coz I Am A Soldier
Born To Die
But Dont You Worry
To Survive In Battle,
Is My Will
Coz This Damn Soldier,
Is Born To Kill!!We Follow Our Own Rules,
Make Our Own Norms
Ferocious We Are,
Lethal In Any Form
Tamers Of Tides,
We Play With Storms
You Guessed It Right
We Are “Men In Uniform”No Agony, No Pain, Shall Make Me Cry
Soldier Was I Born
Soldier Shall I Die
I Live By Chance
Love By Choice
And Kill By Profession…– Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan
Today is Vijay Divas. A day on which India defeated Pakistan in 1971 war. This day is celebrated to give tribute to all the soldiers who gave their lives for the country. Selflessly protecting our country from enemies which mostly contribute Pakistan. This nation still haven’t learn a lesson in spite of being defeated three times.
We say here,
One who does mistake once is Human
One who does mistakes twice is Satan
And one who keeps committing mistakes is Pakistan
This post is especially dedicated to heroes of 26/11 attacks on Mumbai. Poem at the start of this post is by Major Sandeep who is one of the brave soldier who dies in this mission protecting hostages. I salute to him and all other martyrs.
Someone said
Wars come, Wars go. My soldiers stay eternal.
Shoes that can fly
I woke up today morning, turned tv on and switched to news channel. Oh my god!! I couldn’t believe on my eyes, what I was watching. I saw one shoe flying and within a second another. Don’t you want to know who is the inventor?? Surprisingly he is an Iraqi reporter. His invention may just prove to be a revolutionary one.
Those two flying shoes were targeted on Mr. President. Unlike the 9/11 attacks on America which took thousands of lives, these didn’t even took one(This certainly looks like Iraq is heading towards non-violence). They didn’t even hit the target. Both missed. Mr. President is still fit and alert even at the end of his term. He successfully dodged both the shoes and confirmed his fitness.
Christmas is approaching and this inventor wanted to show his love towards Mr. president. He cannot afford an American trip. He is also afraid that he may be treated as terrorist rather than a reporter. His gift also may be suspected as a potential bomb or something similar. So he decided to give the Christmas gift at that moment.
No one knew that Mr. President cannot afford to buy new shoes due to the financial crisis. He must be happy now and will keep those shoes as souvenir. Mr. President had a smile on his face throughout. A great example of how President should be and how he should accept souvenir with a smile.
Till the next flying shoes incidence…

Dasvidaniya – Ten things I wish to do
I saw this film Dasvidaniya. That was a week ago. I cried. I cried many times during the film. Thank god there was no one at home. I was alone. Otherwise it would have been an embarrassing situation for me. In this society there is no room for men to cry. There are rooms for all other things including smoking room but not for crying. I am going to watch this again in an hour or so with my family. I better search for black glasses.
I don’t want to review this film. I can tell you though it’s a must watch. This year has been the best year of my life in terms of watching good films. This is the third film I cried in the single year. Earlier it was just one movie way back in 2004. I’ll write a post regarding this separately. I have to fill this blog one or the other way.
So it’s been a week I watched this movie. But I am writing now. That’s because of this post by L. V. Subramaniam in short LVS. Nicely written post which connects the last wish in the movie with the martyrs of 26/11 Mumbai attacks. And I was also thinking of writing my ten wishes till I say goodbye to all. You can laugh if you feel so. Continue reading →
Which Social Network to choose??
Every blogger, every webmaster now knows the importance of social networking. They are the prime medium of traffic to your blog or website. If you want your blog(lets stick with blog) to be popular then have a good network in social networking sites. This traffic may be perennial or for a short duration.
The advent of large number of social networking websites suggests that they know their importance on the web. Every now and then a new website comes up with little variation from that of original one. That little variation may be sufficient to make it popular. Though this doesn’t happens always and these sites vanish six feet under after a year or are sold to other networks.
With so many choices it is very difficult to choose which is the best one for you? Which is the best one for traffic? I was in the same confusion as you are. But lately I came to know that if you build a good network then any site will do good for you. More the friends you have more traffic you get. So don’t hesitate to make friends.
Out of the many I registered I have focused myself now on Digg and Twitter. Digg is the mother of all social bookmarking sites. It has gone wild lately due to the way popular topics are showed, still it’s the best. Twitter is the latest trend and it’s hot. My twittercounter will show you how popular I am. I am still in the building stages of the network. It’ll take 2-3 months more to get established. My blog is yet to get success from both the sites. But I am sure that it will come one day.
After all this I would like to repeat the mandatory sentence that you read on all blogging related sites. Focus on your content because it is the best way to get attention. If you have good content then you’ll get popular the easy way.
