Resolutions 2015

We have to make new year resolutions. You know why? Assume you are a shooter. Not the Olympic Gold medal shooter. But the one who learned to shoot at the wild boar heading towards you. Now, You’ll have to aim at the boar and shoot. You may miss a couple of shots but eventually, You’ll end up shooting the boar. But if you shoot without aiming, In no time the wild boar will send you flying. And that’s why my friend, You need to aim. You must have certain goals or else the wild boar (Read Life) will send you flying.

Duh.. Two repeated sentences. But I’ll keep it that way.

So here are my resolutions for this year. I am not sure if I’ll succeed in it but I’ll make an honest attempt.
1) Take at two trips traveling alone.
I already find it hard to organize a trip with multiple variable. Most of those variable would produce an erroneous result. So it’s best to be the only variable in the equation.

2) Read more. 24 books this year.
I am not a voracious reader. But I love to read. Last year I set a target of 12 books and achieved it. (Yayyy!!!)  This year, I am going to double that. I am pretty confident that I can achieve this.

3) Make new friends.
Not just Facebook friends. But those with whom I can hang out. In real life. The problem is, Most of my friends are now married and inaccessible. That makes me really uncomfortable as I always had company of my friends whenever I wanted. I am selfish here and I think I have to.

4) Start giving back
It’s high time I start giving back to the “society”. And while doing that, I need to make sure I don’t bloat about it.

That’s it. Four is enough. And for all the concerned and non concerned,  Sorry.. But marriage is not on the list.

Relationships are easy to sow but difficult to nurture.

If you listen to your heart you get pain, but you never regret it.

Silence answers questions which words cannot.

A broken heart is difficult to repair, But not impossible.

I am way better than others, But there are better than me.

Hard work always pays you, A bit late and with interest.

If it pains parting from someone,then you love that person.

Doing something you don’t want to do, doesn’t lead you anywhere.

You always have enough time if you want.

Friends are like stickers, they never leave you completely.

And if you talk too much philosophical you get punched in your face. :angel:

happy new year 2010

Wishing a prosperous new year to all my friends and readers. Forget the failures in 2009 and work towards success in this year. Make sure you get enough sleep to fuel your dreams while working.

I would like to thank all those who commented, criticized, liked, disliked my posts. I will try my best to improve and post more this year. That’s a promise I don’t want to break.

Love Actually…

Love Actually is around us..
It’s just we see through our eyes and not through the heart.

I watched this movie and was stunned. Too many characters make it confusing for a while but it ends well and I am really happy to watch this movie.  It gets 10/10 from me. This movie involved me from the first minute itself when it gives example of twin tower tragedy.

It is unfortunate that I don’t see through heart or maybe I have just started to. That’s because I see hatred all around. Brothers hate brothers, friends hate friends, neighbors hate neighbors. Then there are riots, murders…. I even see cats fighting cats and dogs fighting dogs. Exception is the mating season. :love: That time I find love among animals at least.

To see love around me, I have to travel some 20-25km from my home where there are some points and they are lovers paradise. If the around is 20-25km then the statement holds true. When love is in the air you get refreshed. It’s not just love between couples. I see a family coming there with two kids. Probably boys as it’s difficult to judge gender of kids of age 2-3 years. You can find it only when they start crying for something. If they cry out loud they are boys else girls. I love in that family.

When a tragedy takes place cell phone companies certainly go into profits. There is a high volume of calls between relatives almost to the extent that the network goes down. This shows that love does exists to the extent we cannot think of. I will not try but I will see the world through my heart to feel this love. That’s what you need to do.

Memories from the past

Our life is divided into many phases. The most important is the learning phase. During this time we are dedicated to learning and nothing else. Our parents expect us to learn more than what they did. This is the time when we gather friends which we often find in different places throughout the journey of life. So this phase is more important to me. I have more experience of this phase and I haven’t tasted the other phases. :wub:

This learning phase is further divided into Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, higher Secondary, Graduation and Post Graduation. This is the system in India. Pre-primary I was too young and I can’t remember anything about that stage. Well there is one thing I do. My mother with a stick in her hand. I am crying… I don’t wanna go to school….Due to this whenever I see a picture of Goddess Durga, I picturize my mother. The stick being her sword.

Then comes the Primary. I was too much shy during this time. I hardly remember my friends and rare to meet the ones I know. I remember my class teacher giving me a paper with a speech written on it. I was told to memorize it and read it in front of all the students of the primary. That is during the assembly hour. I was so nervous that I forgot my speech. My teacher who was besides me relieved me, encouraged me. She told me to read the speech from the paper. My voice was hardly audible. She continued to give me written speeches and my voice was oud enough to be heard. By the end of my Primary school I was very confident in giving speeches. Continue reading →
